Curriculum

Our objective is to deliver a comprehensive curriculum focussing on quality teaching and learning. Staff undertake professional development to be informed of current pedagogy and learning theories in order to have a sound knowledge of the curriculum content and its implementation including connecting with real life application.

 

There is a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy across the curriculum. ‘Jolly Phonics’ and Jolly Grammar are the foundation for English in the Early Years.

 

ICT is embedded in classroom practice and features in teaching and learning across the school. Classes are structured with two or more year levels which requires teachers to be flexible and adept at planning. Teachers endeavour to cater for individual learning styles and needs.

Subject Offerings

We offer subjects mandated by the Australian curriculum. Indonesian lessons are provided on-line through the Open Access College.

Support Offered

Students with identified learning disabilities work with SSO support. Learning Plans are in place for students with specific needs.
